Howdy, I am Derrick from Houston, Texas. I found this site via Thingiverse.
I have some experience with Carrier Air conditioners and I currently use a Nest but it has been killing my thermostat board due to an issue with the fact it steals energy from the heater line to charge.How do I go about getting started with this project?
Have you generated in printed enclosures for the Thermostat yet?
Hi Derrick, welcome to the forum. Please excuse my not too good English.
To get started with the project, please read all the articles under the documentation menu on this site. You will learn about the general architecture, how the project works and the components that you will need to buy.
I personally have not printed the enclosure available at thingiverse yet. I think the user that designed the relay box is working on a sensor node enclosure at this moment, and I’m waiting until it is ready to print both of them.
If you have questions or doubts please don’t hesitate and ask. But first you have to read the documentation and decide how your architecture will be. A relay node and a temperature node, or an hybrid node, etc.
